![]() ![]() Some updates on products mentioned but not yet delivered. Here's a post from Christopher on the KO Portal FB page no need for computer set up very soon. I think a 12kw tune is pretty beastly as is. Shoots.that's probably way more powerful than you need it. I was wrong about the nano though, it can do 17kw. So you can technically run twice the power on the regular controller. WORKING VOLTAGE - 60-72V Nominal (max voltage 84V) I have high hopes that all of these programs and apps are going to improve over the next three or four months. That was another complication that I had in working with the tech support. I had to borrow one from someone because my desktop computer is pretty deep in my house and I was having to roll my bike near the computer to get the Bluetooth to connect to the controller. It's also way better if you have a laptop. If you're a hardcore Mac person, maybe it's best to stay away for the time being. ![]() If you're going to upgrade it to the KO setup motor, maybe consider getting the pro level or the factory spec level controller. My guess is if you're going to keep the stock motor, the nano is probably a good way to go so you don't blow the motor. That battery sounds like it would work fine to me, but I'm not an expert on this at all. You can probably still deliver a lot of juice with it with the right battery. My general sense of it is a nano is similar to BAC 4000 power wise. That said, they offer great tech support. There's so many variables between your wheel size, your sprocket size, your controller, your battery etc etc. I can't speak for other users, but for me, the out of the box tune was terrible. With that battery, my guess is you could get over 50 mph. Lots of people own nanos on it and they talk about it. Maybe try and contact them? You could also try to join the discord forum. I don't yet own a nano so can't speak to that. He's a little too concerned with how great that big sprocket looks and less concerned with allowing them to help them get the tune just right. He puts out great content, it's very entertaining, but I don't think he allowed them to help him the way that he was supposed to. I would not go by Sur Ronster on this one. If you want it to be a motorcycle, get the controller, the motor, and a larger battery. If I wanted a bike with just a little more juice, I would go for that nano controller. So I'm going to start tinkering with the power settings and see if I can fine tune it. And I understand the parameters a lot better. Once I got on the phone the second time, I got a pretty killer tune now. It was hard to get on the phone with them. And the Brits working hours are when I'm sleeping. I was a little nervous two weeks ago when I couldn't get my tune quite right. Give it another 6 months and I think the computer support and the application support is going to be way ahead of where it is now. They talk about it on the forum though.įrom what I can tell, what they're doing right now is just the start. I hear they're going to come out with a battery too. I would guess that 2 years from now KO is going to be the only thing left in this space. I would be nervous to buy from another company at this point. They've come out with multiple controllers of varying degrees, motors, and now a sick swing arm. They seem like they're way bigger way more resource heavy company. KO seems like they've jumped full force into this. My guess: these other companies aren't going to make it. I also have way more control over it than I did with my BAC8000 set up. 1 month later, a few calls to British guys, and my bike is working great. Upon first install, it's wildly unusable. I have the pro gold controller with the factory spec motor. I have an EBMX 60 volt 53 amp hour battery.
